(2024) environmental design final project

in collaboration with Marilie Baillargeon and Noémie Lamoureux
This project challenges the use of space, particularly in terms of the accumulation and disposal of leftovers associated with a design school. The aim was to anticipate solutions for inventorying, classifying and rehabilitating waste, integrating it into a circular process. More concretely, it's a material sorting system for UQAM's School of Design, as well as educational and social strategies to make these installations sustainable.

Inspired by the idea of celebrating neglected materials, an archaeology of rests (composed of traces and unused parts) provides a deep understanding of the design process, beyond finished, aesthetic products. This object highlights the transition from the traditional vision of waste to that of the precious and inspiring remnant.
